How do AirPods Pro make a bus go quiet? Press the steps, or wait and the machine runs them by itself.×3

The big idea: AirPods Pro cancel noise with more sound: a microphone on the stem hears the bus, the chip plays the same wave upside down, and the two add up to almost nothing, so about 80 dB outside arrives at about 55 dB (typical values), corrected 200 times a second (Apple's figure for the original AirPods Pro). Each earbud plays for up to 6 hours on a charge (Apple's figure for AirPods Pro 2).
