The big idea: a Roborock robot vacuum of this kind keeps a folding arm inside its body (Roborock). A laser sensor on top maps the room (typical); when a sock lies in its path, a hatch in the top shell opens, the arm unfolds, its gripper closes on the sock and drops it in the basket, and the arm folds back in before it carries on vacuuming. (The parts inside are drawn as typical.)
